“WOW” was the first word I said while discovering the school. It reminded me of a castle (like Harry Potter’s one). How big and beautiful! I suddenly understood how miserable we were in France… On Wednesday, my friends and I had the chance to attend classes like real Dutch students! Even if our height and accent betrayed us… During the classes, our first impression was about the atmosphere… Students and teachers seemed really close because the teachers were called by their first names, something impossible in France. But they were also more independent than us for their work. It was really relaxed; in fact, it seemed a little too “anarchic”: people were laughing, shouting… but maybe it was our fault: French students are funny! Moreover, no lessons were written (just oral work); it made me think of all the pages we write in France…
Despite the fact that the classes stop at 1 or 2 pm, there is no canteen, which seemed weird: it appears to me that it’s very tiring to keep studying during the whole morning with only a twenty-minute break! However, the buildings are so well-decorated and agreeable that the pupils can easily relax and have a break.
To conclude, I don’t know whether I would like to study there or not because I would feel like meeting my friends, hanging out in the building… I wouldn’t be concentrated enough. But maybe it would make me feel like studying!
